The goal here is to offer users a chance to earn keys in game while still offering the choice to purchase them from our shop. We'd like to promote a more global atmosphere meaning, we want to rework this Crate-Key system to allow users to spend keys anywhere they wish so that they don't have to go and earn/purchase keys for each server separately.
What's going to happen to the keys that I purchased after this change?:
We're not going to transfer keys given the drastic rewrite in the system, it would be very impractical and almost impossible. Any physical "Key" that is left lingering will become obsolete. We apologize for any inconveniences in advance! We recommend that you spend your current keys ASAP.
How will the new system work?:
You'll find it very similar to the current one, we will leave a tutorial for anyone to view upon first implementation (sometime mid-week). However, the general logistics of the new system will be very similar to the function that we have for cosmetic keys which are:
1. Purchase Keys directly
2. Earn "Key Fragments" to craft a full Key
3. Open your key.
Are Crate-Key's going to finally be "global" a.k.a. "cross-server"?:
Yes! That's the most anticipated feature of this new system, keys will finally be global! Meaning, you may choose to spend your keys on any server after you have earned/purchased one!
How can I expect to get keys with this new system?:
A. (Shop Purchase)
We are going to give everyone the option of purchasing keys directly from the shop, we're going to have 3 starting tiers for the keys (see below).
B. (Earned in game)
The alternative option will be to earn Key Fragments in game from various activities (pending implementation) which we will have a more detailed list on how to do so soon.
